DIANE’S CELEBRATES BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH WITH NEW SPRING ’09 COLLECTIONS BY TRINA TURK and ALLEN SCHWARTZ (A.B.S.)
Thursday, OCT. 9, 2008 from 6pm to 9pm
Newport Beach, Calif. – Be the first to order Allen Schwartz (A.B.S.) and Trina Turk’s Spring ’09 Resort Collections in an exclusive trunk show at Diane’s Beachwear and Bikini in the Corona Del Mar Plaza on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Diane’s Inc. will donate 5% of purchases to the Susan G. Komen Foundation plus customers will save 15% on any purchases made that evening.
This exclusive event allows customers to pre-order Spring 2009 Resortwear from Allen Schwartz (A.B.S) and Trina Turk before anyone else. Preview all merchandise on Diane’s infamous ‘Live Mannequins’ and enjoy complimentary treats provided by Tommy Bahama and Sprinkles. All customers that spend over $150 will receive a Gift with Purchase which includes Diane’s ‘Celebrate Your Body’ beach tote. This will be the most opportune time to schedule a 1-hr appointment with a Swimwear Fit Specialist that will offer tips on selecting a suit based on body type, how to pack for a resort vacation and how to choose colors that best compliment your natural color palette.
Thank you to the following sponsors who are making this event possible: Trina Turk and Allen Schwartz.
Diane’s Beachwear and Bikini are located in the Corona Del Mar Plaza at 920 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach CA 92660.
About Diane’s Beachwear:
Diane’s Beachwear began in Spring of 1962. The first store opened was Mickie’s Swim Shop located next to the Manhattan Beach Pier in Southern California. It was a tiny 150 square foot store opened by Diane’s mother, Mickie Bandle. The store was outgrown in a very short period of time and was relocated to a larger location just one block up. Diane’s custom made bikinis were the talk of the town. Each customer was fitted right there in the store and the bikini was then hand-sewn just above the store. The daring bikinis were 1” below the waist with crossover, reversible triangle tops which were all the rage in 1962! Little girls could also have a suit custom made to match their mom. Realizing this company was a unique specialty retailer that was in demand by women, the company began to expand. Diane Biggs took over the company and grew the number of locations to 16 throughout Southern California and an E-Commerce Website. Diane’s tremendous success within the beachwear industry is due to the Company’s true passion for swimwear and dedication to its customer base.
