Parenting OC Offers the Ultimate Mini Vacation for Stressed Out Moms

NEWPORT BEACH, CA- Following the success and rave reviews of the first two Pampered Lady Cruises, Parenting OC announces a third three-hour voyage is set to sail on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Departing on a luxury yacht in Newport Harbor, the cruise is expected to sell out quickly based on the immediate interest from those ladies who were passengers on the two Pampered Lady Cruises earlier this year.

On February 10th, and May 18th, OC moms took a break from their busy lives to enjoy a day full of deluxe pampering and fun at sea. The 105-foot yacht, The Endeavor, entertained and rejuvenated sold out crowds of mothers dining and mingling with girlfriends.

Guests enjoyed three hours without the kids, husbands, or obligations. Passengers raved about the experience. Moms definitely needed today, said Laura Archer, 43 of Costa Mesa. Im a single mom and I absolutely dont get time to myself. This is a treat. And the whole idea is unique.

As a stay-at-home mom of a toddler, Corona del Mar resident Lisa Parra, 39, rarely found a moment for herself. So when Archer told her about the Pampered Lady Cruise, she knew it was her chance to get away.

My main goal was to relax and get pampered, she said. Im taking care of my son all day. And if Im not taking care of him, Im taking care of something else. So I was really looking forward to this.

Cynthia P. Jenkins, Parenting OC Magazines Sugar Mama columnist and a Laguna Beach mother-of-two, said she felt rewarded by how much fun women were having.

Its a real Saturday night-kind of energy out here, Jenkins said as she observed guests dancing and having a good time.

For Ann-Marie Tierney, Parenting OC Magazines Associate Publisher, the cruise is a service to the moms of OC that is long overdue. These women, they really deserve this. Because (being a mom) is sometimes a thankless job, and here they can feel appreciated.

So why is a magazine devoted to the duties of good parenting suddenly suggesting such reckless abandon? To love and care for your family, a women needs to love herself too, says Parenting OC publisher Randall Tierney. Three hours of self-worship is a good start.

The next cruise embarks Sunday October 26, 2008. Guests will enjoy foot massages by a reflexologist, have their palms read, and even relax in a soothing Zen lounge. The cruise will feature sumptuous food and appetizers from Abbondanza Bistro & Catering, as well as custom entre and dessert crepes provided by CrepeMaker. Guests will receive beauty treatments and give-aways. KUCIs Janeanne Bernstein, host and producer of Mamapolooza Rocks the OC, will emcee the event, while the Debra Davis Band rocks the upper deck.

The cruise is all-inclusive for $150.00 per guest. The goodie bag is worth the price alone, says Jenkins. Moms are encouraged to come in groups, as a discounted price of $135.00 is offered to groups of six or more. Space is limited, so advanced registration is recommended. For tickets call 714-771-7454 x 110, or go to www.pamperedladycruise.com to register.
