Originally, we were known as 'World of Jeans and Tops' - this was during an era where warehouses opening their doors to sell to the public was a new and exciting concept. It didn't take long for our business to grow, and since we carried much more than just jeans and t-shirts -- in 1987, when we opened our 4th store in Huntington Beach, our name had also evolved, and we became known as Tilly's.The July 1987 opening of the Huntington Beach store marked a turning point in the prosperity of the company. The Huntington Beach location was more than just a bigger location; it was the home for Tilly's Headquarters & Warehouse from which the company began our expansion throughout Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura counties.
