"Our 5-acre facility houses more than 3,000 homeless animals every year. Our pets live in roomy kennels with plenty of beds, blankets and toys, and each of them also enjoys daily playtime in our enclosed yards and exercise rooms with their buddies (two-legged and four-legged!).
If there's one thing our staff members have in common, it's that we're crazy about animals! We work hard to make sure that our pets are comfortable and happy during their stay with us, and that we place them in just the right adoptive homes. Over 90% of the animals who arrive at our shelter are either returned safely to their owners, or adopted into new, loving homes!
In the spring of 2000, the IACC introduced THIRD CHANCE FOR PETS, an innovative and life-saving program that allows us to rescue adoptable pets from other area shelters where they might not have the opportunity to find homes. THIRD CHANCE has saved the lives of over 2100 animals in the first three years of the program!"
