The largest Strawberry Shortcake is devoured by hungry fairgoers on opening night. The Strawberry Festival is always held Memorial Day weekend. A parade highlights Saturday’s festivities as it winds its way to the Festival grounds. The Strawberry Festival has raised over $4.2 million for local organizations, including the Police and Fire Departments, Boys and Girls Club, Acacia Day Care Center for the frail elderly, The Assistance League and many others.
