2004: "The 10th Annual Balboa Island Artwalk will be the largest artwalk to date with over 125 artists exhibiting oil paintings, watercolors, glass and ceramic sculptures, jewelry, photography, hand-crafted items and demostrating throughout the day.
Eight bands will fill the air and entertain you as you walk along South Bayfront. New this year, the Artwalk will feature art, music and classic Woodie automobiles at the Balboa Fun Zone... so remember to bring your Island Ferry change. Parking will be available at the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum and on Balboa Peninsula.
The 10th Annual Balboa Island Art Walk is being presented by Mary Hardesty Realty and supported by local community sponsors. We appreciate their support. Please stop by and say THANKS!"

"Fun With Chalk is a unique festive celebration of the heart, mind, and creative spirit. Thousands of visitors are captivated annually by one of America's most fun Festivals! Incredible images are created directly on asphalt, by artists, using their enormous talent, and chalk. Yes, chalk! The entire parking lot of the Norman Murray Community Center is transformed into a canvas of hundreds of images, some recreations of famous masterpieces, and others original creations of incredible design and color.
The Childrens Creative Festivals, producers of Fun With Chalk, is an all - volunteer organization of people who care deeply about children and art, and who work and plan all-year round to bring a first class event to the community."  Mission Viejo |
| Garden Grove Strawberry Festival | |

"The Strawberry Festival over the years has evolved into a variety of Commercial booths, Arts and Crafts, Game Booths, Food Booths and major Carnival Rides which dot the landscape of the Village Green, located between Euclid Avenue and Main Street, two blocks north of Garden Grove Boulevard. The Strawberry Festival Amphitheater, located at the South End of the Village Green, which was built for the city by funds raised by the Association, provides a charming venue for the many stage shows featuring celebrity and local performers. The largest Strawberry Shortcake is devoured by hungry fairgoers on opening night. The Strawberry Festival is always held Memorial Day weekend. A parade highlights Saturday’s festivities as it winds its way to the Festival grounds.
The Strawberry Festival has raised over $4.2 million for local organizations, including the Police and Fire Departments, Boys and Girls Club, Acacia Day Care Center for the frail elderly, The Assistance League and many others. In addition, local service, fraternal, school, and church groups raise thousands more each year."  Garden Grove |
