Bowers Museum of Cultural Art

If you enjoy cultural art, Bowers is the place. In recent memory they have hosted Egyption, Aztec & Chinese travelling collections. If you have kids, they will enjoy the Kidseum next door. "The Bowers Museum holds in its collection more than 130,000 works of art. These works were donated from 1935 to the present and represent many regions and cultures of the world. The museum's largest collections are in the areas of Native American art, Pre-Columbian art, Asian art, art of the Pacific, art of Africa and Orange County history. Tangata (or "mankind" in the tribal Maori language of New Zealand) features Southwestern decor enclosed by glass walls and a ceiling framed with stuccoed beams and large windows to allow ambient light to illuminate the main dining area. Located in the Bowers museum's Mission-style courtyard, the 160-seat restaurant dedicates half of its available seating to alfresco dining on two large patio areas. The patio area opens into the mission style courtyard that is perfect for romantic weddings or evening receptions. The museum facilities as well as Tangata restaurant itself provide the perfect setting for your next event. From elegant dinners to corporate cocktail parties, wedding receptions to charity galas and holiday parties, Tangata Catering provides a range of services for any size event. Menus are custom designed to fit your particular needs and can reflect any ethnicity desired. Specialty entertainment and décor can be arranged to complete your event." Santa Ana Free Day, First Sunday & Third Tuesday of each month, Santa Ana residents with ID receive free admission.  Santa Ana
