Newport Harbor Annual Christmas Boat Parade

"Join over a million viewers as you watch beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes sail along the harbor in the 96th Annual Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade. Presenting Sponsor Simple Green, Official Sponsors the Daily Pilot and Janes Capital Partners, and the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce invite you to sail to the theme of 'A Winter Waterland.' As Newport Beachís Christmas Card to the world, the boat parade will set the harbor ablaze for five consecutive nights, beginning Wednesday, December 15 and ending Sunday, December 19, 2004. The parade starts off Collins Island at 6:30 pm and finishes at the same site at approximately 8:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and 9:00 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (Two separate routes are run on different evenings.) Beautiful multi-million dollar yachts, kayaks, canoes and other small boats will light up the harbor as a dazzling array of holiday lights and music fill the air at the Christmas Boat Parade. Many of the boats will be richly decorated with animated Christmas scenes accompanied by music and costumed carolers. With this yearís theme, participants are also encouraged to decorate their boats taking into account the unique celebration of the holiday season in Southern California. Some boat owners in the past have spent over $50,000 to decorate their vessels for the event. The Christmas floats will wind their way some 14 miles around the harbor to give viewers in restaurants, yacht clubs, on public beaches, and in private homes a incredible sight that has delighted millions of people for 95 years."  Newport Beach
Tustin Tiller Days

Occurs in October of each year. "Tustin Tiller Days has been a regular event in Tustin since 1957. The event provides an opportinity for Tustin to celebrate Orange County's agricultural heritage. It is also an opportunity for local non-profit groups to raise funds. Over the years, local civic organizations have raised thousands of dollars to benefit a wide variety of local needs. Tustin Tiller Days Parade is on Saturday morning, starting at 10:00 AM. Because of some changes to El Camino Real, the parade route has been changed. The parade will now start at Main & Pacific, going down main street, turning left onto 'C' street. Then turning right onto 1st Street. The parade then continues as it has in years past by proceeding along 1st street and turning left onto Prospect Avenue and continuing to the end of the parade route at the Columbus Tustin Park where the Tustin Tiller Days festival is taking place. Tustin Tiller Days features a Carnival with rides, games, and other attractions. There is no entrance fee. Individual ride tickets, sheets of tickets and all day unlimited ride wristbands can be purchased. The Main Stage this year will feature outstanding entertainment for the entire family. Join us for a day or evening of exciting entertainment! The Big Top (Second Stage) will feature local individuals and groups showcasing the talents of Tustin. A schedule for the entertaiment will be posted when available."  Tustin
