"Each June, Mission San Juan Capistrano presents its annual
Flower Garden and Art Show.
The weekend features unique plant and garden vendors, including gardening books, artists, and demonstrations.
Proceeds from the Festival support the world-famous 'Jewel of the Missions', and the work of the Gardening Angels, a group of volunteers who maintain the gardens that enhance this historic site.
This popular event, held on the lush ten-acre grounds of historic Mission San Juan Capistrano features over seventy vendors/exhibitors of flowers, plants, and garden items, as well as a variety of crafts and fine art. Art & Innovation Collide at the Southern California Home & Garden Show
August 19-27, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The Southern California Home & Garden Show, the largest of its kind in the West Coast is re-defining the meaning of home & garden shows. In addition to 650 vendors with cutting-edge products and services, the show will also feature fine art installations, innovative landscaping designs, speakers and a new product showcase.
The highlights of the show include:
* Two prototypes for the home of the future by SCI-Arc (the Southern California Institute of Architecture)
* REFLECTIONS, an exhibition featuring installations by local artists, with some spanning 82 feet or more.
* 'Inverted Living House', a translucent house with a garden inside and windows looking in
