If you find yourself at The Lab ("The Anti-Mall") or in the Downtown Santa Ana Arts District, you MUST find your way to the Gypsy Den! Healthy food, stimulating surroundings and interesting people are just a few of the reasons to stop and enjoy. On Mondays & Thursdays, catch their "Open Mic" Night at Santa Ana. On the Second Saturday of most months, the Santa Ana restaurant hosts Riff Raff Vintage Swing Band from 8 to 11 p.m. Riff Raff also does a jam the First Wednesay of the month. OC Poetry Festival 
 
 
Held in May. 2003: "For years, Orange County has been an unintentional maelstrom of poetic activity. You can spend a week in OC poetry and find samplings of Modernism, Beat, Slam, and Hip Hop. After a successful first year, with unprecedented media coverage and packed houses across the county, the Orange County Poetry Festival returns for a second year. Two Idiots Peddling Poetry 
 
 
Steve Ramirez & Ben Trigg bring poetry to the masses via their weekly readings at The Ugly Mug, their CD and their online store. "Two Idiots Peddling Poetry is a weekly reading held at the Ugly Mug Caffé in Orange, California on Wednesdays at 8 pm. The reading generally has one or two featured poets reading for 20-30 minutes each, plus an open mic." Questions sent to the e-mail address listed "might be answered with the aid of a Magic 8 Ball, but it can't hurt to ask."
