April. "The Big Yacht Show... With easier access, better parking and a collection of great waterfront restaurants, the Lido Marina Village is the perfect location for a big-boat show. Enjoy a great day and great food while touring some of the finest yachts in the world. There’s no other show like it. And there’s no better place to see the newest models from the world’s finest boat builders.... The Newport Boat Show is returning to Lido Marina Village to celebrate its 32nd year as the West’s premier big-boat in-water show. And this year’s show is going to be better than ever, with the largest display of big boats and yachts west of Ft. Lauderdale. Plus, a whole host of exhibitors will be on hand in the water to showcase products and services that make owning and operating a big boat more enjoyable.... No other place in Newport has the deep water and easy access that Lido Marina Village has. That’s why the 32nd annual Newport Boat Show is returning to Lido. With more big boat slips, no hassle move-in and set up, this is the perfect place to show big boats to eager buyers.... This year the Newport Boat Show will have free parking and shuttle from the Newport Tech Center on Superior Ave. and Industrial Way in Newport Beach."  Irvine, Newport Beach

Southern California Marine Association

Has 2 shows in April: The Annual Orange County Boat Show at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Boat Show at Newport Dunes in Newport Beach. Also nearby OC they have the Spring Boat Show at the Pomona Fairplex in June and the International Sail and Powerboat Show at the Long Beach Convention Center and Shoreline Village Marina in October. "The Southern California Marine Association was founded in October 1956 by a group of concerned and dedicated marine industry leaders representing forty-five different companies for the sole purpose of promoting, nurturing and improving the recreational boating business in Southern California. Since that time, SCMA has functioned as the unifying entity in this ever-growing market, providing marine enterprises, large and small, with the necessary support, knowledge, resources and encouragement to operate successful businesses through all types of economic conditions. With over 800 member firms, SCMA is one of the largest and oldest marine trade associations in the country. SCMA is governed by its members, through regularly scheduled elections of officers to its fifteen member Board of Directors. On a daily basis, a paid, full-time staff that implements the directives of the governing board operates SCMA."  Orange
